The highly lethal nature of glioma results
in a huge year of potential life lost cost.
High throughput sequencing has identified
somatic alterations in primary disease
but these have been hard to target,
and as a result improvement in clinical
outcomes has lagged behind compared to other
|
cancers. An improved understanding
of the mechanisms of glioma
progression is needed to develop higher
efficacy therapies. Through sequencing
of patient tumors and model systems,
we show how the glioma genotype and
phenotype evolves over time.”.
